Work is continuing on the new Bruce to Milton transmission line. Of the 727 towers being installed, 538 are now complete and line stringing is finished on 351. All of the foundations were completed on schedule in December. Work started last week on completing the towers in the Mount Forest area with helicopters helping to install the conductors and wire. In order to fuse the wires together the contractor is using implosive devices -- the process makes a loud banging sound similar to a firearm being discharged. The work will be continuing in the area until April with the crews generally working Monday to Friday, and some weekends, between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This photo was taken on Sunday in the Cedarville area.
