Bunnies hop into 2010

The Wellington North Bunnies hopped into the new year with a solid performance against Elora-Fergus on Jan. 2 in Arthur.
Newcomer Eric McLean stole the show with his acrobatic netminding. Noah Benn and Abby Walker both had hat tricks, while Rhiannon Walker added a single and two assists. Lexi Walker and Taryn North both added a pair of helpers, while Marick Benn earned an assist and hit two goal posts.
Noah Benn, Rhiannon Walker, and Taryn North accounted for all of the goal scoring in St. Jacobs on Dec. 30, in a game against Woolwich.
Shea Lynn McLean grazed the post with a shot, as she tried for the first goal of her ringette career. Abby Walker was terrific in goal, even deflecting one shot into the corner with her head.
A short staffed Wellington North squad visited Owen Sound on Dec. 20, boasting just nine players. Gabrielle Pound was solid in goal in her final game with the squad, as her family moved in the new year.
Noah Benn scored twice for Wellington North, while Abby Irvine and Cassidy North were solid on the blueline.
Abby Walker scored three goals in a split-squad game with Cambridge on Dec. 19 in Arthur. Rhiannon Walker added a single goal, while Noah Benn had a great game in net. Noah followed with a dominant performance on Dec. 17, scoring five goals against Elora-Fergus at home in Mount Forest.
Rhiannon Walker scored twice, while Georgia Schill was solid on the breakout from the wing. Gabrielle Pound had a great game in goal for Wellington North.
Taryn North, Rhiannon Walker and Noah Benn each scored twice against in a game against Elora-Fergus in Fergus on Dec. 13. Abby Walker chipped in with a single and some solid play on defence, and Marick Benn made his debut in goal, turning in a great effort.
