Aberdein inks name on 300 board

Youth league action at Mount Forest Bowling Centre has seen some excellent scores of late, with 16-year-old Cassandra Aberdein reaching the highly sought after 300 mark on Thursday with a 310 game.
Cassi’s name is now on the 300 board. Her mother and stepfather, Deb and Pete Lucas, are not yet. Atta girl Cass!

The No Names own the early lead with 14 points, the Slow Pokes have 11, the Pike Lakers and It Is What It Is both have seven points, the Reachers and Slammers both have five, the Buddies have four, and the Five Blind Mice have three points.
Last week, Walter Roth’s 347 was high single, and Guy Jette’s massive 848 was high triple. Angelle Marcoux bowled a 251 single and 746 triple to lead the ladies for the week.
On Jan. 5, Dwayne Hibbert hit a big 320 for the week’s high single, but Gary McArthur bowled a bulging 820 high triple. Sarah Rachar and Angelle Marcoux both bowled the ladies top single of 226, and Angelle bowled top ladies triple of 620.

Terry McCabe was the bowler to beat last week, as he rolled a 267 high single and 596 high triple. Lois Harris led the ladies with a 247 top single and 518 top triple. Other top scores included Bill Garness and Joe Reynolds, both with 200.

THURSDAY?NIGHT?MEN

The Leaflets inch into first with 14 points, the Headhunters have 12, the Red-Nex have 10, Cal-Ray Auto have four, the Solos have two, and Soulfly remain motionless with nil.
Gary McArthur was the week’s hot hand, with a 261 high single and 702 high triple.

Drain the Lane lead with 19 points, the Elbow Benders and Power Balls have 11 each, the Smokers and Tom Cats have 10 each, and South Gate bring up the rear with two points.
Randy King led the week with a 265 high single and 635 high triple, and bowling over 220 were: Adam Bell 242, Paul Self 238, Sherry Bell 228, Helen Lucas 220, Herb Cowen 220.
