A funeral service was held yesterday for Ross Hamilton, the Mount Forest man killed in a snowmobile accident last week.
On Thursday, Feb. 25., at 3:32 p.m., officers from Grey County OPP responded to a report of a snowmobile collision on Southgate Road 41 near Grey Road 9 in Southgate Township[, northeast of Mount Forest.
 The collision occurred when a westbound snowmobile driven by Mr. Hamilton, 76, crossed Southgate Road 41 and was struck by a northbound van.
He was transported to Durham Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the van was not injured.
Paramedics from Grey County EMS and firefighters from Mount Forest Fire Department responded to the scene and technical collision investigators from the OPP Highway Safety Division were called to assist with the investigation which is continuing.
